The Problem: Your iPhone keeps spinning on the Bluetooth screen, or it won't connect to your car or AirPods.

The Short Answer: Bluetooth stack glitches are common. Toggling it off in settings (not Control Center) or forgetting the device usually fixes it.

Method 1: The Real Off Switch

Turning off Bluetooth in the Control Center (top right swipe) doesn't actually turn it off; it just disconnects.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Toggle the switch OFF.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Toggle it ON.

Method 2: Forget and Re-pair

If a specific device (like headphones) isn't working:

  1. Go to Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap the (i) next to the device.
  3. Tap Forget This Device.
  4. Put your device in pairing mode and connect again.

Method 3: Reset Network Settings

This wipes all Bluetooth pairings and WiFi passwords.

  • Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
