The Problem: You see the WiFi symbol in the top corner, but Safari says "Not Connected to Internet" and apps won't load.

The Short Answer: Your iPhone has a local connection to the router, but the router isn't giving it internet access. This is often a DNS or lease issue.

Method 1: Forget This Network

Force the iPhone to request a new IP address.

  1. Go to Settings > WiFi.
  2. Tap the (i) icon next to your network.
  3. Tap Forget This Network.
  4. Reconnect and enter the password.

This deletes all saved WiFi passwords but fixes almost all connection bugs.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Tap Reset.
  3. Select Reset Network Settings.
  4. The phone will restart.

Method 3: Turn off VPN

If you have a VPN app, it might be blocked or crashed.

  • Go to Settings.
  • Toggle VPN to OFF.
