iPhone Screen Flickering (Fix It Now)

Screen flashing green or white? It's likely a display driver conflict, not a broken phone. Turn off "Auto-Brightness" in Settings immediately. Then, perform a Hard Reset (Vol Up, Vol Down, Hold Power) to force the GPU to reload the display drivers.

Why This Happens

  • Auto-Brightness Bug: The sensor is fighting with the software.
  • Loose Connector: A recent drop loosened the flex cable.
  • Memory Leak: iOS is struggling to render graphics.

Step-by-Step Fix

  1. Disable Auto-Brightness: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. Scroll down and turn OFF Auto-Brightness.
  2. Reduce Transparency: In the same menu, turn ON "Reduce Transparency". This lowers the graphical load on the GPU.
  3. Hard Reset: Quickly press Volume Up, then Volume Down, then HOLD the Side Button until you see the Apple Logo. This clears the video buffer.
  4. Check for App Updates: If it flickers only in one app, update that app via the App Store. It's an app bug, not your phone.

When to Stop

If the flickering happens even during the boot-up Apple Logo, it is 100% a hardware failure. The display panel is damaged or the connector is separated. You need a screen replacement.
