The Problem: You try to install an app from the Google Play Store, but it gets stuck on "Pending..." or "Downloading..." forever.

The Short Answer: The Google Play Store app cache is full or corrupted. Clearing it usually resets the download queue.

Method 1: Clear Play Store Cache

This does NOT delete your apps. It just resets the store.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.
  2. Find Google Play Store in the list.
  3. Tap Storage & Cache.
  4. Tap Clear Cache.
  5. Tap Clear Data (or Clear Storage).
  6. Restart your phone and try again.

Method 2: Check Storage Space

If your phone is full, updates will fail silently.

  • Go to Settings > Storage.
  • Ensure you have at least 1GB of free space.
  • Delete old videos or unused apps if needed.

Method 3: Remove Google Account

If it is still stuck, re-syncing your account might help.

  1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Google.
  2. Tap your email.
  3. Tap Remove Account.
  4. Restart phone.
  5. Go back to settings and add your account again.
